A skipper is R450 and a two-adult team is R900. Keepers (under 13) are R100 and Kickers (under 18) are R200. A solo skipper adding one junior pays a R300 Junior Upgrade instead of the usual junior fee. Check the event page for the live breakdown before you enter.

Gauteng 1st place is guaranteed at R10 000, with 2nd R5 000 and 3rd R2 500 plus sponsored prizes. North West and Free State prize money depends on entries for the day. Trophies, lucky draws and junior prizes are awarded at prize-giving on every trail.

Create your angler profile, then enter online from the schedule or the event page. Online entry is required before you launch — there is no Wednesday close, but you must be on the start list before competition day.

Yes. Juniors fish Keepers (under 13) or Kickers (under 18) with their own biggest-fish board. A team of two adults can add one junior. A solo skipper can add one junior (Junior Upgrade) or two juniors. A maximum of three people may be aboard during tournament hours.

Each region keeps its own log. You score Grand Prix points (winner 100, then 99, 98 and so on) plus five participation points per event. Your best six Grand Prix scores count. Points do not transfer between Gauteng, North West or Free State, or to a new team.

Your home trail is the region your season log sits on. On joint Gauteng + Free State days it is how we tell the two fields apart. Pick it on your profile before you enter.

The National Championship is by invitation: the top 50 percent of each region’s adult log. Every registered Keeper and Kicker qualifies automatically.

Lines in at 06:30. Check-in is 16:00 sharp — your tag must be on the board. A late tag disqualifies the catch, and joining the weigh-in queue after 16:20 is also a disqualification.

Catch, weigh and release. Adults weigh a five-fish bag. There is no minimum size. Culling at the scales is not allowed. One wet rod per angler, artificial lures only, and trolling is prohibited.
